Synopsis
"The Great Trespass" is a science fiction/parallel world story that blends elements of fantasy, mythology, and adventure. The story follows Robert Gryffon, the charismatic host of the popular cable TV show "Historic Anomalies," as he becomes entangled in extraordinary events beyond his understanding.
After returning from vacationing in Costa Rica, Gryffon inexplicably finds himself thrust two years into the future, into a world where his fiancée, Taylor, has been murdered, his mother is dying of cancer and the Pacific Northwest is being rampaged by mysterious monsters collectively called the Wolt. These vicious creatures are sweeping across western Canada and now have begun to invade cities in the United States.
As Gryffon deals with this nightmarish new reality, he encounters a mysterious pilgrim named Tovan, who reveals that these creatures originate from a parallel world that has been tied to Earth for eons. Tovan further reveals that Rob possesses the power to stop this horrible invasion. According to an ancient prophecy, Tovan shares with Rob that he is the 'Meridian of Power’, and it is his destiny to defeat these minions of the malevolent Wolt lord, Arsgrath, saving Earth’s human population.
As he grapples with what the world has become, Rob abruptly awakens back to 2025, where Taylor is alive and demanding answers to his several month disappearance. Confused by his dilemma, Rob soon realizes he is caught in diverging timelines and accepts that he may be the only hope of changing the oncoming horror of 2027.
While Rob works to prevent the Great Trespass, his fiancée, Taylor Cerutti, a brilliant antiquarian, is on her own trek. In 2025, she follows a trail of ancient clues on a quest to unravel the mystery of a connection between Earth and Wolt. Manipulated by one of Arsgrath’s Wolt Masters, Taylor is led across Europe and Africa in a search for a world changing power.
Meanwhile, Rob, driven by the specter of Taylor’s future death and potential annihilation of Earth’s inhabitants, remains on the run from pursuing government forces and sinister monsters of lore, as he bounces between the diverging timelines of 2025 and 2027, ever attempting to piece together the clues to his chaotic prophecy.
